Poach The Perfect Egg

Poach The Perfect Egg

Poached eggs – the only breakfast request that fills me with anxiety! So many decisions…Vinegar or no vinegar? To swirl or not to swirl? Deep water or shallow water? Whatever I try it never seems to turn out right – its that heart sinking moment when you drop the egg in the pan, only to see it disintegrate into a big white cloud of eggy water!

Don’t worry though Kleeneze has the answer, the Poach Pouches make perfect poached eggs every time – and its just so easy! “Eggs Benedict anyone??!”

Step by Step Guide

1.

Bring a couple of inches of water to the boil in a saucepan

Bring a couple of inches of water to the boil in a saucepan

Be careful not to fill to deep as too much water will boil over the top of the pouches.

2.

Crack an egg into a lightly greased Poach Pouch and carefully place into the pan

Crack an egg into a lightly greased Poach Pouch and carefully place into the pan

Use butter or oil depending on your preference - this will ensure the egg does not stick to the pouch.

3.

Place a lid on the pan and leave the egg to cook

Place a lid on the pan and leave the egg to cook

This will take between 4-6 minutes depending on your preference.

4.

Carefully remove the pan from the heat and remove the Poach Pouch

Carefully remove the pan from the heat and remove the Poach Pouch

The egg should come away easily from the Poach Pouch, however if it fails to do so then gently run a blunt knife around the edge of the pouch
